Google Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Engineer to join our team at Hyundai Autoever America in Fountain Valley, CA. As a Google Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the design and delivery of world-class cloud solutions, providing expertise on cloud infrastructure services, and leading the cloud architecture and engineering practice.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues, external service providers, and key corporate business units to establish goals and achieve strategy and objectives in support of the Platform Services business needs. This is a client-facing role that requires strong business process management, automotive domain knowledge, technical knowledge, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Define cloud architecture for hybrid and non-hybrid cloud solutions (preferably GCP)
• Act as the go-to person for cloud architecture
• Ensure expertise in GCP with administration experience (Dialogflow, Composer, and clusters for ML)
• Develop a deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms
• Ensure cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls
• Participate in establishing an automated DevOps release management pipeline
• Cultivate a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery mindset (experience with Gitlab)
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions
• Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives
• Drive the adoption of forward-thinking technology in a growth environment
• Identify unique cutting-edge solutions to business problems leveraging technology

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, computers, information systems, or a related field
• 8+ years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years of enterprise, full-life cycle architecture in the professional IT/Software Development services industry
• Knowledge of J2EE, .NET, and cloud technologies development languages and tools
• Self-starter with in-depth hands-on work experience with large-scale implementations of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes, and Gitlab
• Understanding of emerging technologies and end-user needs
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly
• Knowledge of SQL, non-relational (NoSQL) databases, networking, firewalls, load balancers, etc.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Docker containers and MicroServices architecture
