Special Education Teacher – Exciting School Year Contract Opportunity... • Academic School Year Calendar, following Standard School Hours (full-time). Typical Responsibilities: • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in both individual and group settings. • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students receive appropriate services and supports. • Utilize various teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning. • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting instructional plans as necessary. Qualifications and Requirements: • Must hold a valid state-issued Special Education Teaching License. • Michigan Standard OR Professional Certificate with ANY endorsement: • Cognitive Impairment • Speech & Language Impairment • Physical or Other Heath Impairment • Emotional Impairment • Learning Disabilities • Physical Education for Students with Disabilities • Autism • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field required. • Experience with special education students, including developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), is highly preferred.
