Job Title: Senior Data Scientist ? Advanced Technology Location: Pasadena, CA Duration: Contract (C2C) Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist ? Advanced Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, database administration, and performance optimization while leveraging PostgreSQL in AWS. This role involves designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, improving data movement between systems, and reducing redundancy. Key Responsibilities: ? Translate business requirements into data models to optimize performance and efficiency. ? Administer, manage, and monitor databases across development, test, stage, and production environments. ? Design and implement PostgreSQL databases, high-availability solutions, and disaster recovery plans. ? Enhance data replication, encryption, and backup solutions to ensure high availability. ? Optimize database performance by fine-tuning configurations, indexing, and query execution plans. ? Work with PostgreSQL in AWS, ensuring smooth integration and cloud database management. ? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data flow across enterprise systems. Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, database administration, and performance optimization 5+ years of on-site experience in a similar role Strong expertise in PostgreSQL (0-3 years required) Experience with AWS cloud environments for PostgreSQL databases 9-10 years of experience in database performance tuning 4-5 years of experience in data replication & high availability solutions Bachelor?s degree in Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master?s preferred) Preferred Skills: Experience in data encryption and security best practices Strong knowledge of disaster recovery and backup solutions Ability to work in high-volume, scalable enterprise environments Job Type: Contract Pay: $60.00 per hour Work Location: On the road Apply Job!
