Courier/Delivery Driver

We are looking for motivated, passionate and hardworking individuals to join our company as a delivery driver. Vertek Logistics Provides a Package Delivery Service. Compensation: Starting hourly rate is $16.00 per hour. This is an employee based position with benefits offered (medical, dental, vision). Job Description: Performs delivery of packages. Operates vehicle and optimizes the delivery route considering priorities and traffic patterns. Operates and drives vehicles for pick-up and delivery of various goods in a polite, resourceful, professional, safe and secure manner. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping by sorting cargo set for delivery. Provide customer service while delivering over established routes. Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition. Communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications. Obey traffic laws and follow organization?s transportation procedures. Ensure packages are delivered and entered accurately. Provide excellent customer service and responds to customer?s requests. Job Requirements: Candidate must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver?s license with a safe driving record. Must be able to work Monday through Friday. Must have a consistently positive attitude and be able to work well with customers and other employees. Must be capable of carrying and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. and be capable of lifting at least 75 lbs. Must be creative and self-motivated to solve problems as they arise. Must have excellent communication skills and a true desire to provide our customers the highest level of service. Must have a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a professional manner. Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to handle a variety of responsibilities. Must be reliable and dependable.
