About the position As a Store Cleaning Associate at TJ Maxx, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a primary focus on floor care. Your responsibilities will include operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, as well as performing various cleaning tasks including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. You will be expected to adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards while cross-training to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. In this position, you will model established customer experience practices, ensuring that both internal and external customers receive the highest level of service. You will contribute to a positive store culture by embodying the values of honesty, integrity, and respect. Maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas of the store, including the sales floor, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms, will be a key part of your role. You will also be responsible for refilling essential items in the lounge and restrooms, adhering to health and safety policies, and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day. Your ability to communicate effectively with management and associates will be crucial, as will your adherence to labor laws and company policies. You will participate in safety awareness initiatives to maintain a safe working environment and may be assigned other duties as needed.
