Financial Reporting Analyst

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join us as a Financial Reporting Analyst! About the role As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you willfocus on cashand suspense accountsreconciliation, resolving discrepancies,andmaintainingaccuratereports.You will work closely with teams to enhance cash flow processes. With a proactive approach and strong analytical skills, you will take ownership of tasks, work independently, and drive improvements to ensuretimelydelivery of results. What you will do • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between internal records and bank statements • Monitor and track discrepancies in cash flow, investigating and resolving any variancesin a timely manner. • Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring all transactions, journal entries and reconciliationsare properlyperformed • Collaborate with the Treasury team to provide support related to unclaimed properties • Prepare audit support documentations andcollaboratewithauditors on cash related audit • Identifyprocess improvementsand implement best practices for cash reconciliation procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Support other functions within the team as necessary. Compensation

Salary Range: $64,200 - $106,900 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program. Who You Are: • High School Diploma required, BA/BS in Accounting or related fieldpreferred. • Relevant work experience inaccounting and finance;cash reconciliation experiencea plus • Proficiencyinfinancial softwareand Microsoft Excel required, experiencewithLawson,Hyperion,Cadency a plus • Demonstratesa strong senseof ownership over assigned tasks, ensuringtimelyandaccuratecompletion of deliverables • Curiousand eager to learn, with a mindset focused on finding better ways of performing cash reconciliation and financial reporting tasks • Strong ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision,demonstratinginitiative and sound judgment • Strong communicationskills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
