As QSIC’s first FP&A hire, you’ll have the autonomy to shape our growth strategy while working alongside a highly skilled team of experts who are as passionate about revolutionizing the AI, audio and retail media space as you are.

Reporting to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational efficiency of our business. This position involves leveraging advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical expertise to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and profitability. This will require strong collaboration efforts across a supportive and small team, and you will ensure alignment between financial objectives and business strategies while supporting leadership in critical decision-making processes. The role will also assist with preparation of intercompany consolidation, reporting, and preparation of board reports.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong analytical skills, a passion for innovation in finance, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced tech environment.

This role will be in person in Melbourne (AU) or Dallas (TX), with flexible working arrangments.

Role requirements

  • Intercompany consolidation for the Qsic group entities (USA, APAC and Mexico);
  • Monthly board reporting including preparation of reporting, graphs, budget and variance analysis;
  • Preparation of Budgeting and Forecasting Packs.
  • Prepare monthly updates of key variances and movements (including review of group month end reporting deliverables).
  • Work with the CFO to own the end-to-end budget process, including integrity of related financial planning models and tools.
  • Weekly consolidated cashflow reportingBroad business case IRR/NPV modelling
  • Provide support for all future state forecasting and scenario analysis to support key strategic decisions.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identifying trends, insights, opportunities, and areas for improvement FP&A process.
  • Mentorship of the finance team - Excel best practice, Purchase Order best practices and financial hygiene
  • Other duties consistent with the role or as assigned by the CFO
  • Experience and skills required

  • 5-10 years experience working with a SaaS business, VC or investment bank;
  • Understanding of key SaaS metrics - ARR, GRR, NRR, CAC
  • Experience preparing key business case analysis including IRR/NPV/ROC and WACC calculations, with recommendations based on industry benchmarks
  • Demonstrate and in depth understanding of P&L drivers from sales, gross margin and EBIT;
  • Expert excel skills (Macros/Goal Seek is helpful);
  • Strong experience using Power BI or similar tool
  • Experience with SalesForce is preferred but not essential;
  • Professional credentials through a recognised professional accounting body - Qualified CA, CPA or CIMA.
  • Good knowledge of financial and accounting processes and principles.
  • Strong business acumen. You understand key business risks and are able to report on levers to mitigate these risks.
  • Strong communication skills
  • A strong focus and ability to work under pressure.
