Key Responsibilities • Provide personalized tutoring to K-12 students, either one-on-one or in small groups of up to three students. • Assist students with SAT preparation and various academic subjects. • Employ teaching resources effectively to support student learning and engagement. • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that inspires a love for learning. Required Skills • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills, evidenced by a high level of performance on SAT-level material. • Proficiency in critical reading and writing, with a thorough understanding of grammar principles. • A background in English/American literature and literary interpretation is advantageous. • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping young learners succeed. • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to create a consistent weekly teaching timetable. Qualifications • A bachelor's degree or higher in any relevant field. • A minimum score of 700 on the Reading/Writing section of the SAT to qualify for high school tutoring. • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
