Job Description: The School-Based Special Education Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. You will work closely with students, parents, and educational staff to ensure that each student receives the necessary support to succeed academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with Minnesota state and federal regulations. • Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to students' needs. • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to support student success. • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed. • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings. • Adhere to best practices and Minnesota special education regulations. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution. • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License. • At least one year of experience working in a special education setting. • Knowledge of Minnesota special education laws and best practices. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and collaborate with educational teams.
