Primary Function Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products ... Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans Identifies appropriate types of testing needs (i.e., functional, integration, ETL, regression, security, performance, compliance, browser, etc.) Participates in application design and functionality discussions Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages/systems/computation software Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing Has thorough understanding of business process Recommends quality standards and process Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience. Additional Requirements: Understanding of the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality assurance. Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details. Identifies core business problems and solutions.
