[Remote] Senior Software Development Engineer (AS400/IBMi)

They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the RECO team, responsible for architecting and developing complex software solutions on the AS/400 platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide solutions and design complex functionality within the RECO area
- Help define standards / methodologies / guidelines and ensure compliance while aligning solutions to the Adjudication Platform application architecture
- Lead modernization efforts for IBMi systems, including automation and integration with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
- Leverage internal development tools and CI/CD processes
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and influence best practices
Skills
- 5+ years experience and a deep understanding of AS/400 application development
- 5+ years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE and CL; Synon2/E (aka COOL 2/E)
- 5+ years of IBMi SQL experience
- 5+ years of experience leading application teams to deliver technical improvements and initiatives
- Experience with Adjudication Platform or similar pharmacy claim adjudication systems
- Background in Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
- Experience in legacy system modernization
- Familiarity with IBMi integration with cloud platforms
- Demonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects; proficiency working on all phases of SDLC and with problem determination and resolution through research and fact finding
