About the Role

As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will serve as the critical communication hub connecting callers to the resources, departments, and people they need. Operating a multi-line phone switchboard from a fully remote setup based in Puerto Rico, you will manage incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate extensions, and ensure every caller receives accurate, courteous, and timely assistance.

This role is ideal for individuals who are energized by human interaction, take pride in delivering exceptional service, and are looking to develop a foundation in professional communication, customer relations, and operational support. Best of all, no prior experience is required — just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and fluency in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the arenaflex customer service team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Call Management Excellence: Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls on the company phone switchboard with efficiency, accuracy, and a friendly tone that reflects arenaflex's commitment to outstanding service.
  • Call Routing & Transferring: Direct incoming calls to the appropriate extensions, departments, or team members, ensuring callers are connected swiftly and to the right resource without unnecessary transfers or delays.
  • Information Delivery: Provide accurate, up-to-date information to callers regarding general inquiries, operating hours, basic procedures, and frequently asked questions.
  • Professional Representation: Maintain a polished, positive, and professional demeanor on every call, embodying the arenaflex brand standards and service philosophy at all times.
  • Message Management: Take detailed and accurate messages when relevant parties are unavailable, and ensure prompt delivery of those messages to the intended recipients.
  • Problem-Solving Support: Assist callers with basic troubleshooting and routing questions, escalating more complex issues to senior team members or specialized departments when appropriate.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain basic call logs, track call patterns, and provide feedback to supervisors about recurring caller concerns or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Additional Operational Support: Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as needed, including supporting team projects, contributing to training initiatives, and helping maintain an organized remote workspace.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on arenaflex products, services, policies, and procedures to provide the most accurate and helpful information to every caller.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow team members across shifts, sharing insights, best practices, and supporting one another to achieve collective service goals.

Essential Qualifications

  • Full Bilingual Fluency: Must be fully bilingual in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal communication skills in both languages. This includes the ability to understand diverse accents, dialects, and communication styles in each language.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required, But a Plus)

While no prior experience is required, the following qualifications will help you stand out:

  • Previous experience in customer service, call center operations, reception, or phone-based roles (even in a volunteer or informal capacity).
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, switchboard operations, or call routing software.
  • Experience working remotely or in virtual team environments.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational credential.
