Role description: This role is to integrate AI, automation, and technology into HSW processes, enhancing safety, quality and efficiency. This role deploys innovative tools and manages HSW data strategy. It involves remote work, process‑driven guidance to external/internal stakeholders, maintaining high standards of administrative accuracy and data management across all HSW systems. AI, Tech & Data Manager to lead the integration of AI and emerging technologies, strengthen data foundations, and deliver analytics that drive smarter, safer, and more efficient operations. Own the roadmap, build key digital capabilities, and ensure AI is deployed ethically, responsibly, and at scale. The role reports directly to the HSW Programme Director and dotted reports to the Regional HSW Operations Directors. Role accountabilities: Technology integration and innovation Develop and implement strategies to integrate AI and technology solutions into HSW processes. Identify opportunities for automation and technological enhancements to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes. Shape and deliver the AI, data, and digital technology roadmap. Stay updated on emerging technologies and AI advancements relevant to HSW and assess their applicability. Tool deployment and management Own the deployment, operation, and sustainment of Cority software. Overview of enhancement of other HSW automated tools and technologies aimed at preventing HSW incidents and improving HSW maturity Lead deployment and lifecycle management of AI/ML tools, analytics apps, and Power BI solutions. Data and reporting strategy and governance Lead HSW data strategy and governance, including data collection, analysis, and centralized reporting practices. Strengthen data architecture, data quality, and governance standards. Lead responsible AI practices, privacy-by-design, ethical impact assessments, and compliance with relevant regulations. Analytics and insights Improve HSW intelligence using advanced data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Create actionable insights through reporting, visualization, and performance metrics to drive decision-making and risk management. Deliver actionable dashboards, predictive analytics, and insights that improve performance and reduce operational/safety risks. Monitor model performance, value realization, and continuous improvement. Key shared Accountabilities: Partner with business leaders to ensure HSW technology solutions meet client and operational needs Support compliance with regulatory requirements and HSW standards through technology-driven solutions Collaborate with quality to conduct internal audits Collaborate with IT, HSW/Operations, Security, Legal/Privacy, and L&D to ensure safe, secure, and ethical deployment of technology and to align technology and data initiatives with organizational goals. Partner on change management, data literacy, and user adoption programs. Decision rights Owns: HSW data strategy and governance framework Owns: HSW automation initiatives and technological enhancements Owns: Approval of reporting standards, data visualization methods, and analytics tools Owns: the AI/data roadmap, tool selection (within governance), and product release decisions. Co-decide on model approvals, risk assessments, and data access with relevant functions. Most important performance metrics Technology enhancement and adoption: Successful development, deployment, and sustained usage of HSW relevant software. Automation Impact: Efficiency gains and improved outcomes from automated HSW processes. High adoption and impact of digital tools and AI solutions in the overall HSW operations. With Improved decision-making, operational efficiency, and risk reduction. Strong data quality, compliance, and responsible AI practices. Delivery of measurable business. Key Qualifications and Professional Certifications Minimum 7 - 9 years of experience integrating technology, AI, or automation into HSW, EHS, or related processes. Bachelor’s degree in Computers, Data Science Engineering or related fields, with significant experience in HSW, EHS, Risk Management, or a related field desirable. Strong knowledge of AI tools, data analytics platforms, and automation technologies (e.g., Cority, Sphera). Track record of identifying and implementing emerging technologies to solve complex challenges. Strong background in cloud data platforms, BI tools, and AI technologies. Experience with data governance, privacy, and responsible AI preferred. Product mindset, ability to work across technical and business teams, and strong communication, problem-solving skills. Key Competencies Proficiency in collecting, analysing, and visualizing data to create actionable insights across a global landscape at a C-Suite level Proven ability to work cross-functionally with IT, Operations, and HSW teams.
