Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team in a remote work arrangement. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to our customers, ensuring their needs are met, and their experiences are exceptional. This role involves delivering top-notch customer service via phone, website, and chat interactions, quoting our products and services, and managing customer accounts with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

* Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Build rapport with customers, gather necessary information, and create a positive, high-level customer experience in a fast-paced, structured environment.

  • Handle Customer Inquiries: Answer incoming customer calls to service and maintain existing accounts, ensuring all interactions are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Educate and Advise Customers: Offer guidance on insurance needs, provide estimates, and educate customers on options to increase or add coverage.
  • Policy Management: Research, analyze, and respond to customer policy inquiries and changes, clearly explaining specific coverage details and addressing billing questions.
  • Sales Support: Quote new and additional lines of insurance, prepare and complete insurance applications, and follow up on any required information to ensure a smooth process.
  • Achieve Performance Goals: Meet pre-defined individual performance objectives focused on productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility: Be available to work overtime as needed to support the team and meet customer demands.

Qualifications

* Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with customers and team members.

  • Familiarity with multiple insurance carriers and state insurance regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, and maintain exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to empathize with customers.
  • Solid computer and typing skills, with proficiency in navigating a Windows environment.
  • Competence in simultaneously navigating and toggling between multiple systems, including data entry, quoting applications, insurance software, and communication platforms.
  • Strong problem resolution skills to address and resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus

Education/Experience

* High School diploma or its equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Active Resident Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • 1 year of customer service experience in the insurance or related industry

Work-from-Home Requirements

* Designated workspace free from noise and other distractions.

  • Remote office internet connection via Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Cable Modem.
  • High-speed internet access required.
