Job title: Custodian Day (part-time) Company: Dunlap School District #323 Job description: This position is days, Mon-Fri, 4 hrs, Includes 1 personal day, paid sick time, and retirement benefits. Reports to: Building Principal Position Objective The Custodian maintains building and grounds in as optimal condition as possible for all stakeholders. Essential Functions: - Empties trash in all classrooms, bathrooms, office and lounge - Cleans and disinfects all sinks, toilets, urinals, soap holders, paper towel holders, and toilet dividers - Cleans all mirrors - Wet mops bathrooms - Cleans water fountains - Vacuums classrooms and mats - Dust mops hallways and gym floors; use floor machine as needed - Cleans up after school activities - Locks doors and windows - Communicates with head custodian regarding repair/maintenance needs Additional Functions: - Buffs floors as needed - Dusts rooms, hallways and bathrooms as needed - Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED Competencies: - Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels Working conditions - Mental Demands: calculating, comparing, evaluation, interpreting, organizing, consulting, analyzing, planning, documenting, specifying - Physical Demands: bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting for prolonged periods of time, standing, walking, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity - Environmental Conditions: The work is performed primarily indoors; however, outside work is required on occasion.
