Job Goal: Maintain efficient communications and route assignments among the fleet of vehicles operated for the transportation of students
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dispatch personnel and vehicles as prescribed by Supervisor
- Serve as receptionist for the Transportation Office
- Effeciency in use of Microsoft Office Suite including; Outlook, MS Word, Excel
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize new school district technology and software programs
- Assume primary responsibility for the two-way radio communication system
- Assign students to appropriate vehicles and routes
- Maintain and update student routing and attendance schedules using available technology
- Verify and record for use by the Transportation Program, the calendars, time schedules, closings, late starts, and early dismissals for all schools and students served
- Calmly handle bus driver and parent/guardian concerns in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to use phone system

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associates Degree Preferred
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including; Outlook, MS Word, Excel
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal skills
- Abilityto draft clear, effective communications to stakeholders
- Able and willing to train to get CDL and proper endorsements to drive a School Bus for OCS preferred
- Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment
