Job Summary:

As an Experienced Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to sell entire projects. You will learn about our products using our tools, provide information to customers, and work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth, build customer loyalty, and ensure that every customer leaves our stores feeling valued and satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to sell entire projects

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work safely as not to endanger yourself, co-workers, vendors, or customers
  • Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and build customer loyalty
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, services, and promotions to provide expert advice to customers
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and improve customer experience

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong product knowledge and sales skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a retail or sales environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, decor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen & bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products
  • Experience with sales software and technology
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
