Job Overview

As a Customer Service and Sales Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service to our customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers, assessing their needs, and providing tailored solutions
  • Learn about products using our tools and provide expert information to customers to drive sales growth
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with every customer in your department
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. You should be highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the store.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a retail environment
  • Knowledge of products and services offered by blithequark, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
